Reviews and Ratings
I had a remarkable view of the ocean from my room, with a couple of chairs on the balcony to sit and watch the busy pedestrian path below, although it was directly above the breakfast area. The rooms could have been updated with better linens for a fresher look.
My stay at the Bar Harbor Inn was a mix of experiences. The rooms, although a bit old and overpriced at reservation, turned out to be spotless. The service was amazing, especially with a good breakfast and well-kept green areas perfect for kids and family. The location was very good, with gorgeous surroundings and easy access to town and shops. The dining was impressive with some of the best breakfast I've ever had, even if the options were a bit limited. Overall a pleasant stay with a few drawbacks in pricing and room condition.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were beautiful and clean with fabulous views of the harbor, and I especially enjoyed the great breakfast and warm apple cider available in the afternoon. The balcony was a lovely touch, although the room was small. While it wasn't an ocean view, which was fine by me, I could see why some might prefer a different room for the price, especially lacking comfortable chairs.
